I was 1 of 8 designers selected to design a roof installation at Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. The purpose of the installation was to activate the roof at night, which was severely underused at the time. We built an installation inspired by the natural forms of Frei Otto using locally sourced materials: bamboo, netting, MDF wood, and PVC piping. While the installation was only meant to be up for 2 weeks, it was so successful the museum kept it for an entire year.
